I was encouraging a brown snake to move away from our back door and the sod shot straight under the car:eek: Cant find him now so is somewhere in the drive line etc. Be a good time to take it to the Sydney Land Rover dealer I recon:twisted:

Not much I can do but put long Boots on and move the vehicle well away from the house and kids and hope he comes out in his own time.

The only encouragement I'd have given it wouldn't involve it being able to move anywhere

IF, and I mean if, it has gone up into the vehicle its unlikely to be a Eastern Brown, they are a terrestrial species, not a climber.

My uncle has had a few close calls on his farm - amongst the crops. They were so bad for a while that he carried a shotgun whenever he was working.

Just think if you had a Defender it would be coiled up on the driver's seat by now... even if the doors were locked and the windows wound up:wasntme:

My wife retrieved the vehicle this arvo and looked very pale when she jumped out:twisted: I did a very thorough inspection on the under side found nothing. Popped the bonnet and :eek2::eek2: I thought these little fellas need to go for a drink on a hot day, as yesterday was. I've never handled a brown snake before but had to drag him out with care to a clear space:angel: We are all still well:D

A body engineer from Land Rover goes on an exchange visit to Toyota in Japan and watches the engineers developing the latest Land Cruiser bodyshell. He notices that on the workbench they have a cat in a small cage and he asks what it's for. The Japanese engineer tells him when they have finished a Land Cruiser they lock a cat in it and go home. If the cat is dead when they return in the morning they know the shutlines on the doors are up to their high standards. The LR guy likes this idea and when he gets back to Solihull he takes a cat to work and locks it in a Defender and goes home for the night. When he returns in the morning the cat is gone.
