hey all,

any one know of wider wheel arches for front of defender?

i know Devon 4x4 in the UK do them, but only sell a set of four and at 187 pounds a set + shipping im looking for an alternative.

im looking for 50mm wider than standard

cheers, Serg

Hi Serg,

Paddock motors do them aswell: (4 tho)

Defender Extended Arches - 2 inch wider than standard - set of 4 (http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/OFF_ROAD/Extended_Arches/Defender_Extended_Arches_-_2_inch_wider_than_standard_-_set_of_4.html)

Pretty sure innovation 4x4 did aswell but they may have gone bust

Would assume John Craddocks would also do them

Personally I would get them from D44 - if you email them they may split the set. Worth a try and a very good company to deal with.

Rgds

thanks Pete,

i have already emailed Devon4x4, they cant split a set. My guess is they just get them made or buy from a supplier and there are more 90/110 that require 4 than cabchassis over there.

i will check the others out

hey mate, i know it's not much better, but i'm trying to organise a bulk order from MM 4X4 in the uk to split the shipping cost that might save you a couple of dollars??
Defender - Range Rover - Discovery - 2 50mm Unbrakeable Wheel Arch Extensions (http://www.mm-4x4.com/defender----range-rover---discovery----2--50mm-unbrakeable-wheel-arch-extensions-2661-p.asp)

you anywhere near newcastle?

I've seen a few around with 50-70mm of conveyor belting used to 'remotely mount' the factory item, that is a long strip of rubber belt, 50-70mm wide screwed on the inner edge to the wing/guard and the outer edge to the original arch - I'm pretty sure tombraider was one who did this?? maybe blknight can post a photo or two as his Dad now owns Tombie's former wheels :)

Got a thread going about it, but the flares themselves are $225 and shipping for one set was $170, that would be approx $400 but already got 1 other person interested, if you are as well, i recon they would be about $300, thats just a guess for 3 sets... i hope to get a few more interested parties.

let me know:)

Thanks
Adam

I'd be keen on a set, but not sure how much cheaper postage would work out if relayed to WA tho.
