I have had a problem that from take off my 300Tdi was taking a while to build revs.
Knowing that the 300Tdi is no speed demon I have mainly just ignored this slow take off.
When replacing my brake vacuum pump (a tedious job) I noticed that when bumping the fuel lines under the filter canister the lift pump bulb moved slightly. So tightened up this screw 1 1/2 turns.
I have also noticed that some lift pumps do not have this screw on top but seem to be a sealed unit. Is this an older style lift pump?
When driving now it seems to get the revs up quicker than before.
Am I just imagining things?
