Long trip packing list - spares??

Hi all..

Whilst I have no doubt that my 130 will be fine on our trip to Fraser Island this friday, I am wondering what others do in preparation of such outings.

Recently serviced, I have an air compressor and tyre repair kit, recovery kit and comprehensive toolbox to pack too.

What spares do people take, oils, filters etc anything and everything

Open to ideas about places other than nice and tame Fraser Island too

I have most things in ready to go boxes and rely on bodges to get to where I can call the box forwards to me.

sensors and fuel pumps will be the only show stoppers and of the sensors only the Crank angle sensor and Throttle position sensor are real show stoppers.

Seeing British 4WD is just down the road, you do not have to go too berserk.

Multi belt, lots of zip ties, electrical spares such as fuses, and I always manage to trip over my power cords,so I go through lots of Merit plugs. Some crimp connectors, wire, tape.

A water pump could be helpful and can be a show stopper.

A I saw mentioned elsewhere:
Sat phone and a credit card!
I do carry the "usual spares" - mostly rubber stuff - but even in Kununarra I had a TD5 fuel pressure regulator by the next morning, and a suspension airbag.
Just make sure you do your "prices" homework before you leave, and have the phone numbers ready, if internet access is going to be an issue.

An esky with a Dingo-proof lid - I watched one flip mine off quicker than I could last time I was there!
Oh - my secret tip.... drive the inland one-lane tracks with your headlights on. Drivers coming the other way see you earlier and can't help themselves but to get off the track quickly for you. Then you just drive straight on and lift a finger in appreciation.
But Shhhh - don't tell any Toymota or Pootrol drivers this. ok? ;)

Oh - Important non-spare type accessory - a bannister brush. Use to clean sand out of car at the end of the day and to throw at Dingo first thing in the morning.
