hello all , i need to replace the heater resistor in my 89 classic , any one done this ?big job is it ?

I have never done it but according to the manual its not too difficult.
You have to remove the decker panel, and in an 89 that also means removing the bonnet AFAIK.
AFAIR the resistor sits in the plenum under the decker and it comes with a pigtail and connector. you have to pull the connector carefully through the firewall grommet. Do not lose the other side of the connector.

Hope you have small hands or a mini-you to get in there!!
Just make sure you don't get too stuck into the beers before starting!
I rate it as probably THE most annoying repair I have ever had to do!
