Hi folks,
If you were to drive from Brisbane to St George would you go:
Brisbane - Warwick - Goondiwindi etc
or
Brisbane - Toowoomba - Dalby etc
?
Google maps says Dalby but what is the real world answer?
I've never been further west than Dalby or Goondiwindi on those routes.
We are leaving first thing in the morning so no rush :D

Depends on which part of Brisbane, but we always go via Dalby.

What part of town would make you change your habit Numpty? Anywhere north of the Tweed would dictate Toowoomba/Dalby IMO.

Even if you wanted to go to Goondiwindi I would still go through Toowoomba and Milmerran.
I know that wasn't the question but what the hey.

You're right :o, I had a bit of a brain fade for a split second :D. I was obviously thinking of something entirely different, probably about going back to the Rock on Wednesday . Although we never go via Toowoomba to get to Dalby.

Moonie Yabby races this weekend! Beware the traffic jam as you go through town.:pIf your taking your time there's a reasonable campsite/truckstop on the right after the Westmar pub, or take the right turn into Southwood Nat. park for a secluded bush campsite.

Too long on the rock I think Perry.;) From your place Toowoomba would be the long way round, but from my place I have to run the gauntlet, trying to dodge Pedro.:p

We're back!
In the end we went Brisbane - Toowoomba - Goondiwindi.
We skipped St George and went straight to Dirranbandi and Hebel.
That was our real destination but we were going to go via St George for a look.
8.5 hours there on Friday and the same back again today.
Nice drive :)
Dropped in at Lightning Ridge too on the Saturday for a look see.

Not much different between going via Warwick or Toowoomba. My sales reps always went via Warwick and a number of lesser roads if going straight to St. George. One of them went via Toowoomba if he was planning to visit an extra-marital lady friend he had there.
