I bought a bag of junk off ebay and need some help to identify these parts.
Now before everone says its a series fuel strainer in is much thinner than any I have seen before. It measures 50mm dia x 195mm long.
The other part I was told is a defender door catch it has RH in the moulding.
The wally I bought them off tryed to pass off a 22mm wheel spanner as a defender one it even looks jap.

Mycounty is 1985 and I noticed you list an 87. Does your have the narrow filler neck and a plactic cap? I am trying to work out about what year it would fit.

Do you think they were standard and people removed them or an option and only some cars came with they as I have never seen one before that was that thin.
