Well i cant say i have seen anything supernatural or even a U.F.O But just recently one of my wifes work friends was coming home from work and said she saw a little boy who didnt look right!! When she stoped and got out to see if he was ok there was no one there and it was around 9.13 at night. I myself jumped on the net and looked up the road to see if anyone was killed and low and behold i found a article of a jurno who died there last year in october. he came off his scooter (Till this day the police dont know what happened) coming around the bend and died just after the ambo's got there at 9.15. other wierd thing was when my wifes friend saw this little kid it was the anniversary of the jurno's death. so bloody weird if you ask me but still doesent explain the little boy????

We used to see alot of wird stuff around Strathbogie when we used to camp there....animal type stuff
Used to see alot of things in the sky when driving for a living, stuff like satelites that suddenly stop and change direction or go around in square type shapes in the sky....pretty sure they arnt designed to do that.
Probably the weirdest thing I have seen was coming out of Albany one night doing a bit of a short cut up to Salmon Gums, and both myself and the bloke in the truck behind me saw some ming ming lights,(think thats how you spell it). That was pretty freaky...had no trouble staying awake that night

I've never been a believer in the supernatural or any of that kind of stuff, but there was a few times which have made me go wtf?!
I had a 10 week old cocker spaniel puppy which died years ago, and 2 months later saw her in the hallway, nearly tripped over her, instinctively turned around to see if she was alright and nothing was there. That gave me shivers to no-end!
The next couple of things can possibly be attributed to living in my grandparents house after they'd passed on. When I've been really down on something significant, I've smelled my grandmothers perfume in the house on the odd occasion after her passing away 15yrs ago, but that's been strangely comforting. Likewise a few misplaced things in the garage... I spend most of my childhood doing stuff in the shed with Pa, and have been unable to find things on occasion, only for them to suddenly appear in an obvious place which I'd already checked. It's a comforting feeling nonetheless, because at least I know who's been doing it. ;)

I and 4 other people all saw a UFO once, for about 2 mins. I got my telescope from inside it was there that long and I saw it but it seemed no closer, it was more of a kids type scope tho. Eventually it want away very fast. Dont know what it was but nothing I know of man has built can do the speed and direction changes I saw this do, I suppose an unmanned vehicle does not have to worry about G's so that is a possible earth based theory.

Some witnesses describe the light as appearing to approach them several times before retreating. Others report that the lights were able to keep pace with them when they were in a moving motor vehicle

I grew up in a house that was freaky. My brother, mum and myself all experienced weird stuff. I used to hate night time as it meant being scared and full or dread. There was always a feeling of being watched, footsteps through the house at night. I used to often see a shadowy shape standing outside the bedroom door. My brother and I shared a room and I used to always try to get into bed with him. One time I looked over from my bed and there was something that looked like Frankenstein's monster walking by. My blood ran cold and it faded away. In that house my mum's mum was around and annoying my mum. She heard a voice say "Don't be mad with her, she won't be with you very long." It really scared my mum but the voice wasn't correct. Grandma lived for another 30 years- actually outliving my mum.
In my work I hear a lot of people's experiences. Some real salt-of-the-earth people have stories that even they don't want to believe.
I read a book by an anthropologist who wrote that its the wrong question to ask are ghosts or UFO's or what ever real? The right question is to ask is it possible to experience such things?

No UFO's here-yet.
20 years ago my Dad was terminally ill in hospital. I had to go home to Warragul from the Hospital where I'd been with him for a few days.
I grabbed a few hours sleep after sorting out the business and headed back to the hospital.
I was about 10 minutes away from the hospital and stopped at a red light when I felt dads presence in the car, there was no conversation, but I felt really peaceful as I thought about all of the good things we had done together and the good times we'd had.
I made it to the hospital only to find Dad had died at about that time.

I looked at Area 51 on google earth the other day, gee there is some strange stuff in that place.
Look at the holes in the earth where they have tested there big bombs and zoom in on some of them. Strange black cables that go into the centre of the craters, underground entrances in hill tops, just a weird place. pretty sure it was on youtube.
Dont know why they would let us see it on google though if there was mischief afoot...:alien:

My sister had a toy bird that when rocked, would tweet. It wasn't all that sensitive so walking past didn't trigger it but closing a drawer in the dresser it was on did. Her bedroom was down the hall from the kitchen.
One night, family all sitting around the table eating dinner, suddenly the bird tweets. Ten seconds later a glass beside the sink collapses on itself, shattering.
Next week in the newspaper we read that the former owner of the house died that night.
In Tassie, my sister refused to enter a touristy lighthouse, she was 4 years old at the time and nobody could work out why. She just flat out refused, fighting, screaming all those little kid things, but was quite happy to play outside. About 6 months later, they started giving ghost tours there.
I'm sure science will explain all this and more one day :p

I have seen a few things that I can't explain over the years. They have all been in the western country - Mitchell sw Qld and Mt Isa nw Qld. Probably the most interesting was when I was about 17 I was dam shooting on a property between Mitchell and St George and was lying on a mattress watching the sky while I was waiting for the roos to come in to drink. Looking for satellities was the thing to do in those days as there wasn't many of them around and it was a novelty to see one. Anyhow I saw this bright star/light moving across the sky and stopped just above the tree line. It remained there for several minutes then 3 smaller lights emerged from it and descended towards the ground. I kept watching it and about 10 minutes later the 3 small lights came back up into it and it did a rapid accelleration across the sky and disappeared. I can tell you the hair on the back of my neck was like a wire brush. Another night I was roo shooting in the station truck ( an old Fargo). It was winter and by about 1 in the morning I had about 20 roos on the back and decided to pull up for a cuppa and warm myself up a bit - my hand was frozen from holding the spotlight outside. Sitting there in the dark I was at peace with the world when suddenly I was in the beam of a spotlight which lit up the whole area. Thinking that a couple of my mates from the station next door had found me and had me in their spotlight beam I put my head out the window to see where they were and to my astonishment the light was coming from above me. When I looked up towards it it went out and there was nothing there. I drove back to the station at reckless speed I can tell you. Wouldn't go out spotting by myself after that experience. There was a lot of "UFO" sightings in that area back in the late sixties.

Seen many years whilst driving from Gosford to Sydney, looking outside at night spotted a satelite. Following in the same direction, kept an eye on it... then it stopped, and sped at what I believe it speeds no man can achieve out to space.
Also got a video from a family member that shows a bunch of people (young) going to a famous train track with tunnel (all closed an unused) which is famous for spotting ghosts. The person filming was screaming hes head off as he could see what he was filming, the others didnt see anything with naked eye... until they also looked at the video screen and all started screaming. I saw the footage, a girl was standing there looking at them apparently she died on the tracks many years ago.

I'm the run of the mill,God fearing, Christ believer, good boy who never had time for ghosts and such. If I couldn't use my scientific brain ruler to touch and feel, they didn't fit my religious belief model. However, even I, in my newly acquired middle age, (just turned 40 ;)) cant deny a couple of instances. The two of note.
My Grandparents died when I was in my early teens. I was absolutely devastated, oldest grandson and all. Absolutely adored them. They died about 25 years ago within six months of each other. Id just got married around the tenth anniversary of their deaths. I had 5 nights of reoccurring dreams which scared the crap out of the new wife, as i was apparently rather animated. They had returned from the dead. The setting was ten years after their deaths though nothing had happened. Life with my parents and my aunts and uncles went on as though there was nothing out of the ordinary with them "disappearing" for ten years.
During the same time, numerous times I was in the yard of our new house and Pa who was a stone mason was laying the pavers in our new house or practicing his golf swing in the back yard. An aside is while were were actually digging up the area for the paving we found a stack of 1850s coins. Apparently it was where the original Windsor road from Parramatta went which deviated about 500m west of the convict built road (current bus lane)
We have since moved into a new house at Rouse Hill which is between Castle Hill and Windsor. The main drag ran close by. My wife first noticed and I thought she might have been, dare i suggest she who must be obeyed, a little well....NUTS :wasntme:
But to my amazement I now readily confess and comfortably accept, the house has a ghost.
A youngish woman, early twenties I reckon, not scary, not deformed, late 1700s, early 1800s I guess. I really don't know. But incredibly sad. The sadness is the most depressing feeling.
Aimlessly wandering, not engaging, not present and just the most amazing sense of dread and fright.
Scares the bejesus out of me. Doesn't appear she is attempting to frighten us but the sense is rather off putting.
Doesn't open doors or move things but things do wander. Has sat on the my bed on more than one occasion and i swear I've seen her walk along the corridor numerous times. My senses seem to feel an amazing amount of sympathy for her and though something incredibly tragic is about to happen to her.
Must confess I have been tempted on more than on occasion to try the video thing as others have done to see if something does get picked up. Probably would scare the crap out of me more if we did find something though.
cheers

I'd reckon it'd be mandatory to believe in the supernatural if you're a Christian. Jesus' disciples thought he was a ghost when he walked on the water. Jesus had to correct them. He didn't say ghosts don't exist. Also, the witch of Endor helped king Saul talk to the dead prophet Samuel.

There was a lot of "UFO" sightings in that area back in the late sixties.
I was working on a property in Goodooga in the late 70s doing practical work while doing an Ag degree and used to go out spotlighting roos around the crops. One August night it was a moonless sky and the stars were blazing. I saw a very bright light out towards the horizon - in that flat country that can be quite a way at night. Suddenly it moved off at an incredible speed and then when it was about half way from where I saw it to where I was it stopped for about a minute then just went vertical at the same incredible speed. I watched it for another minute or so until it disappeared. I went home and changed the brown corduroys let me tell you.
On the ghost front, we used to share a house in Correys Ave in Concord with my partner - now my wife and another couple. On numerous occasions we used to lock the back door with the large bolt latch only to find the door open in the morning. You can only open it from the inside and none of us did it.
Other strange things used to happen like the dishes that we left on the table were stacked up on the side of the sink or glasses which we left on the coffee table would be on the kitchen table. My wife told me she woke one night to see an old woman standing at the end of the bed who just smiled and walked out of the room.
Our elderly neighbours who had lived next door for the past 45 years said when they moved in as a newly wed couple that the house we were in had an elderly widow living there and that she passed away by herself in the kitchen and was not discovered for a couple of days. I am getting goose bumps just remembering and typing this out.

In 95 I was rolling along the Stuart Hwy from katherine towards Three ways, it was 3 am and still hot (build up time). I was driving a old troopy, window down rolling along at 95/100 with a bull light and two side spots to light the way. Then out of noware theres a gust of wind and hot bitumin smell and somthing silent shot past faster than any thing Ive yet. Heres the freaky thing it had no lights, did not reflect any light ( I had a bull light and two spots out front) just a smudge that disapeared at the end of my lights a second later. Ive been back to the spot since, heading south , a long strech going up on to a jumpup with a marker for a WW2 depot.Strange how it just absorbed the light, hugging the road and disaperaring up the rise so quickly.
Still makes me creep out thinking about it whilst driving alone at night.

I reckon I saw a Thylacine on the back road through Mount Clunie one night on my way back from Fineflower. It ran across in front of the Defender and disappeared into the lantana on the other side of the road.
Yes I was weary and it was late, and let's face it Defender headlights aren't the best.
I've thought about all of the possible explanations (dingo with ribs showing, feral dog etc.) but I am convinced that is what I saw.

Growing up as a teenager near the Grampians, we used to do a bit of shooting on a friends property at Pomonal. We would often find lamb carcases that had been taken and had certain organs removed. There was alot of foxes and some dogs around the area, but the lambs wernt ripped apart so to speak, but more of a focused disection if that makes sense. There was always alot of stories that went around regarding big cats, but never actually sighted one there.
Strathbogie on the other hand, is a different story. Strange animals there..

Got another one, but from my brother. Years ago we used to go bush with our air rifles and shoot stuff (as one does as teenagers). Anyway, one day he headed out without me, went into the bush, did some shooting etc for a few hours.
He headed back to the car, which incolved crossing a creek about 5 meters wide, only knee deep tho. You have to walk the creek, with dense bush/shrub on the banks of the creek. So he passes the creek, walks up a hill to the car and hears some rumbling of bushes below. He first thought he was being followed by someone angry with hes antics, but saw the shrubs move violently until this 'beast' of sorts (looked human - standing upright) apeared on the bank of the creek.
Well, he said he almost **** himself then and there, the thing looked up at him and jumped the creek cleanly with one hop! My bro got into the car, and sped off as fast as he could. Needless to say, he nor I ever ventured back there! This is about 20+ years ago.

A couple of years ago I was doing a bit of research of the witch trials held in Salem, Massachusetts held in 1692. Whilst looking through the portraits I saw, to my amazement, the stone cold face of my mother in law staring back at me.
At that single moment, as the defrag in my head finished, everything was in it's right place and I was content with the knowledge that I was right.

All of this confirms my belief that the supernatural does exist. Re vxn205; no doubt some, if not many of these have rational explanations but I don't believe all of them can be explained by being mistaken or tricked.
I haven't had anything comparable but I have had three distinct instances of deja vu -- where I knew precisely what would happen, like I'd seen an video of it, for the next 30 seconds before it happened.
Now whether you want to collect all of these supernatural forces, call them god and worship them...but that's another thread!

Bulldust my friend in the ears , throat and the brain.Check out" Chariot of the Gods" Made in the early 70's by Eric Von Donnican. They were not game to teach us what he discusses and proves in that film.Even if you dislike the film the music is great.
Cheers

The only thing Erich Von Daniken proved, is how gullible some people are. I was unaware that there were people around who still believed his ridiculous ideas.
If you are willing to read a very detailed debunking of the fanciful notions he espoused in "Chariots of the Gods?", have a look at Ronald Story's 1976 book, "The Space Gods Revealed".
Alternatively, you might consider these comments from reputable sources:
Most scientists and historians have rejected his ideas, claiming that the book's conclusions were based on faulty, pseudoscientific evidence, some of which was later demonstrated to be fraudulent and/or fabricated, and under illogical premises. For example, Ronald Story wrote a book rebutting Däniken's ideas in 1976 titled "The Space Gods Revealed" A similar internationally bestselling book, entitled "Crash go the Chariots" by Clifford Wilson, Ph.D., appeared in 1972.

Or this comment on the validity of some of his evidence:
Where is the proof for von Däniken's claims? Some of it was fraudulent. For example, he produced photographs of pottery that he claimed had been found in an archaeological dig. The pottery depicts flying saucers and was said to have been dated from Biblical times. However, investigators from Nova (the fine public-television science program) found the potter who had made the allegedly ancient pots. They confronted von Däniken with evidence of his fraud. His reply was that his deception was justified because some people would only believe if they saw proof ("The Case of the Ancient Astronauts," first aired 3/8/78, done in conjunction with BBC's Horizon and Peter Spry-Leverton)!
From ancient astronauts - von Daniken - The Skeptic's Dictionary - Skepdic.com (http://www.skepdic.com/vondanik.html)
A further example of his technique of presenting pseudoscience as fact is his claim about the dimensions of Cheops' pyramid. He asks, "is it coincidence that the area of the base of the pyramid divided by twice its height gives the celebrated figure Pi = 3.14159?" (p. 77)
Such a claim is a nonsense. PI is a dimensionless constant. The area and the height of the pyramid are not dimensionless. Choose your units carefully, as Von Daniken did, and you can produce any number you like. If you measure in inches, feet, yards, metres or cubits, you get five different ratios.
That is typical of Von Daniken's technique of baffling with bulldust.
He also pulls the wool over some people's eyes with his frequent use of the "false dilemma" line of argument, saying such things as, "Either this data is to be explained by assuming these primitive idiots did this themselves or we must accept the more plausible notion that they got help from extremely advanced peoples who must have come from other planets where such technologies as anti-gravity devices had been invented."
The man is a charlatan, his evidence is frequently fraudulent, his arguments are specious. I am relieved to hear that you apparently went to a school that had the good sense to ignore his discredited nonsense.
Edit: StephenF10 has put it much more succinctly, "It was crap".

In terms of "spooky" happenings......happened when I was a youngster. We lived on acreage in Dural, was down a long driveway and things just seemed amiss. Sometimes my sister and I would come home and before we knocked on the door....you could hear voices inside. Automatically one assumed Mum was home................she wasn't. Other times things would go missing......and the cleaner was under suspicion....she moved on....still happened.
Now one night.....and I can't remember the reasons as to why the rest of the family were out....but it was just myself and Dad at home. Now the house had slate floors.....so shoes made a resonating sound if walked on. Anyway just as I was nodding off....I could hear foot steps in the hallway. Thought nothing of it....must be Dad...........then I hear Dad yell out from his room.."Stephen what are you doing up?"
I bolt upright in bed and yell back..."I'm not up Dad" meanwhile while jumping out of bed and grabbing not only my .22 but .404 shotty as well. Dad started flicking on lights from his end of the house and ditto from my end. We walked all through the house....nothing....nada....zippy de doo da.
Again...we never really spoke about it....wasn't till we left and years later that my mother recounted the story of my younger brother ( who is now a Pastor). At the end of the hallway in now Mum's bedroom ( as the olds had split) was a full length mirror. My brother was standing just outside the batthroom down the hall and started yelling to mum " Theres a man in your room....theres a man in your room"...she came out of her ensuite and said no there isn't. He said that as whatever crossed in front of the mirror...it showed up. We already had a form of heebie jeebies...so the story wasn't told at the time.
My brother......at around the same age gave me a St Christopher medal to keep me safe. I was 21 at the time and he was 13. I was like "yeah....whatever" and put it in the glove box of my trusty commodore. Long story short.....I flipped and rolled the car end over end and sideways 3 times. We ended up against a gum tree. Next roll would have been onto roof...off a 6 ft drop into old nursery with the garden stakes still in place. If it had gone over...we would have most likely died.
Now in that car...I had copious amounts of coke bottles...sunnies....videos and a boot full of empties. Everything in that car was strewn for a good 50-100 metres. Everything in that car was out of the car....the forces actually popped off my watch. Wasn't till the next day when we came back to look at the damage during the day ( car was a total write off).....I found the St Christopher in my seat. Everything and I mean everything from the glove box...under the seats....on seats was out of the car.......except that!! Still gives me the willies but a good feeling willies...man that doesn't sound right. Oh and here was the car:

A number of years ago when my daughter was about 4 or 5 -she is Down Syndrome, we were on holiday and walking across the road to a museum in an old building. My daughter was in a buggy at the time. Once we started crossing the road in the direction of the museum she dug her heels on to the road and kept saying NO,NO,NO....I put her feet back on the buggy and started pushing again. My daughter immediately put her feet on the road and stopped the buggy still saying NO.NO.NO... The person standing at the door came to us and said-Are you coming into the haunted building i.e. the museum? I asked if it really was haunted and he said he had never seen anything but others claimed to have seen things there. All this time my daughter in the buggy had her feet planted on the road saying NO.NO.NO. Anyway my wife and other daughter had a visit while I sat out side with my daughter.I had taken her from the buggy and we sat on a bench. All this time she would not settle but kept looking at the building saying NO.NO.NO. We moved across the road to wait for my wife and oldest daughter, where she was more at ease.
