Used Amazon lately ?

Anyone used Amazon lately ?

I was after some "in ceiling" speakers
plus some in wall units as well
Much cheaper in US - less than half the price
(Boston Accoustic = USA brand)

but not sure re cost of freight - not clear on their site how freight works

and customs issues ?

anyone purchased something that weighs

2kgs ?
8kgs ?

value $400 in each lot

any guidance would be valued..

Freight all depends and it can be expensive. Anything under AU$1000 is OK as far as duty goes.

Haven't bought through Amazon in ages. Have bought from B&H and I notice they sell this brand: boston accoustic (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=boston+accoustic&N=0&InitialSearch=yes)

You think their sites interesting, you should see the 1" thick mail order catalogue they send out - Oooooohhhh look at all the gadgets:cool:

Can't help with other US sites as the only ones I deal with are camera equipment.

Have you looked at UK prices? Also consider Bowers & Wilkins, they do some VERY nice wall and ceiling speakers now.
