I looked at the window as I was eating tea at my new dinning table only to see a roo in the back yard.....I thought how lovely a little roo
UNTIL THE BASTARD STOOD UP!!! holy **** I'm not joking this roo stood at least 5ft and he was not scared at ALL by my presence or the dogs:eek:...So I would guess he was a male.
here are a couple of pics not great quality i'm afraid as it was dusk and the light was very poor and the iso very high..but at least it gives you an idea:)

Yes Lou remember we have big rabbits in Australia. I saw a couple of young males fighting once, one knocked the other over and jumped on him only to be kicked about 2 metres straight upwards.
Did you use the flash on the first shot? I notice there's spot in each eye.
Look forward to more wildlife shots from your backyard now:cool:

Forget the Roo - what about the monster 'Koala' in the background of the second and third shots :D

Yummy.
I would have chosen a .22/250 or .222 Remington, and a head shot.
Oh wait this isn't "On Target".
Sorry - as you were !

Big roos don't fear dogs unless they are in a pack, but individual dogs chasing a big fella like that would be well served to leave em alone as I know which one my money is on and it aint the dog.

personal preference is for a .308, but just like me and my dad, i'll allways be accused of going too heavy.....
