Hi All,

I picked up the car this morning and still trying to wipe the smile off my face. Everything is good except I have some trouble getting the DVD working. I can't find the user manual anywhere, can someone please confirm there is one (then I will ask the dealer) and whether I can can a photo copy from someone?

I also notice not all DVD can be played, no sure is it because the player is sensitive to regions?

Is there a way to play the DVD audio via the speakers instead of using a headphone?

Thanks

There is a manual, I had to ask the dealer for it & he posted it out after the car was bought.
If the DVD is not a good quality bought one (not burned) it does not like them, we have a couple it wont play both burned & bought.
Unless you have the front touch screen the only way to play the DVD sound through the speakers is to have a cable from a headphone outlet to the AUX input in the back of the center console. Cable is available from D. Smith's.
If you have the touch screen the manual tells you how to do it.
If you want a photo copy of the manual faxed or posted let me know & it can be done, but it has a lot of screen shots that will not photo copy well.
I just fiddled with mine to work it all out even though the salesman explained it all for nearly an hour it went in 1 ear & then somewhere else!
BTW, I don't have the front touch screen.

Thanks. I will ask the salesman then, if he can't get a copy, I may need to take up your offer and if you are in Melbourne, I can pick it up off you and do all the photocopying.

I managed to find some DVDs that play, I must have a fair bit of bad DVD.. :) Thanks for the tip on the cable, I will go to DS tomorrow.

I don't have a front touch screen either.

No - I live a few K's from Melbourne, Doomadgee, Gulf Country, Far North Queensland, so a little over 4 days hard drive.
Hence why I have a Discovery.
If you require it & have access to a fax I could fax it or Post it.

Photo copying is no problem, I'll get my clerk/wife to do it.:p
