Hi all,
I will be heading over to Morten Island in the New Year for a spot and fishing, camping and 4wding .:D
I'm not keen on taking my defender on the beach (replaced bulkhead etc.) So I have decided dad’s d2 would be perfect.
I have done a few little things to get it ready; chipped ecu and egr removal but the biggest thing I think is hooking the cdl up. Just in case the 3 amigos decide they want to come on the trip as well.
I have a spare lt230 from a defender among other things under the house, can I use the linkages on the Disco (auto).
Thanks in advance ben.......

does the transfer have the bolt on the top that the linkage can be attached? its worth checking, as they changed in 01 sometime. If it is there, just lay under the car and turn it with a 10mm spanner, when you get on the sand, and turn it back when you are off the sand again. Its alot easier than adapting the d1/defender one.

it's a sep 00 build but according to the Vin its MY01.
I would rather the proper set up, then a 10 mm spaner

The Def linkage system won't fit in the transmission tunnel of an auto, there's aparently not enough room, Landyandy has tried it and said it won't fit, it also has to be modified a bit too.

I thought us D2 pilots are refered to as girls because we dont own Defenders.
TOUGHEN UP PRINCESS:p:p:p:p:p
Take the Defender down there and enjoy it for what it was built for.
After all the work you have put into it spend an hour with the hosepipe after and there will be no corrosion issues.
