Hi lads
Just picked up my new 2006 TD5 Defender the wife reckons you cant get the smile of my face at the moment.
It has a couple of goodies on it which is nice
1 Roof rack
2 2inch lift OME
3 rock slider side steps
4 hydraulic winch
5 Snorkel
6 Bull-bar + lights
I have already ordered a low coolant alarm & temp sensor from engine saver from our forum ( if any of you have installed one in your Defender i would like to see a picture of where it has been installed or where is the best place to put it in the front dash )
So next when i have some spare cash what should i do first ?
ECU chip / Bigger inter-cooler/ i would appreciate any feedback as how to improve my Decfender.
i have attached some photos of my new girl.

Just send Tombie2 a PM.

Nice Defender!

By the way that's a strange looking bullbar you've got:confused: Still it takes a winch and holds the light. Looks like a home made job.

Hi lads
Just a couple of lines to let you know how i am getting on in my new Decfender.
I had my first Defender wave today some thing that has never happened in any other 4wd i have owned, their is some thing about these 4wd that just make you fall in love with them straight away i don't know what it is their not the quietest around but that does not seem to matter the seat is not the most comfortable but its great for your back posture, i love the view out of it you can see every corner of the 4wd and the mirrors are really big and i just love driving it and it has only been a week since i bought it.
I would like to hear from you about what is the best power upgrade for the ECU and possibly how to go about it.what to do first or do you have to get the upgrade done all in one go.and what dollars i am looking at to get it done.
Thanks Declan :twisted::twisted: ( one very happy Defender owner )

As mentioned above, Tombie2 would be worth contacting, as he does ECU upgrades, and I think Intercooler upgrades too.

Other options are TRS down at Lonsdale (Triumph Rover Spares), or PCB Landrovers (near the airport - Pete Brown).

From memory, the TRS upgrade is around $700 (but that is from some time ago when I enquired). Tombie2's are a bit cheaper I think.

Very nice mate - a bit jealous over here, but I still love my old girl.

If you're interested, I have a TM2 temp/coolant alarm for sale. It's actually fitted at the moment, but still in perfect condition. Send me a PM if you're interested.
