Trying to find a supplier of Texamatic 7045e for RR L322 Td6 auto trans fluid in Aus. I have tried LR, and the $$$ is frightening, 500ml for about $22!!!
I have found even overseas that the availability is scarce, and the cost is also stratospheric. Caltex Australia has stopped importing it apparently, and has told anyone using it that it is up to them to source it from Chevron Texaco overseas:mad::o

I req at least 9 to 10 litres to flush and change the fluid on this vehicle, and have reached numerous dead ends so I am hoping someone here may be able to direct me to a possible solution?

This oil is also recommended for Allison trans requiring a C4 quality oil, some Cat and MAN vehicles also, so tomorrow I will be calling our local truck service centres in the hope there may be SOMETHING available.

Anyway, after another exhaustive inet search, I'm now off to sleep:)

Thanks in anticipation all,

JC

this oil complies with the dexron IIIg standard you should also be safe with dex IIIIH

penrite atf dx-vi

and
penrite SIN ATF
http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products/automatic-transmission-oils/sin_atf

and the equivelency chart from valvoline for their product
http://www.westernfilters.com.au/docs/valvoline_dex3merc.pdf

Dex III can be used in a pinch but doesnt have the life of the DexIIIG

ID do an initial flush with standard redied DEXIII and then bleed that out for the DEXIIIG.

or you could always just fit up a manual.

Why did you ring ZF? The gearbox is a GM5L40E, assuming yours is a Td6.

Well many thanks all,

Finally got from the horses mouth at Penrite that you can use Sin ATF, as they even have it listed in their catalogue for use in the Td6 RR trans:):).

Dex6 can also comply, so can Pennzoil dex3 as it exceeeds Dex3G/H anyhow.
The most important thing I was after, is that it is written in black and white that a particular oil OTHER than Texamatic 7045E will do the job, to ensure I can say with complete confidence to the customer, that the oil I'm using is as good as the OE spec.

Service kit is easy to obtain also so when I get the go ahead it's all on:)

Once again, thanks Pat, Dave and Phil !
