Photo Competition #39 - Ends 20th December
https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2009/12/1007.jpg
Static balls, dropping balls, blurry balls, ball sports.
Rules..
See here for the general rules (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/camera-corner/82504-photo-comp-rules.html).
Also..
Posting two pictures is encouraged but only one pic can be an old photo (shot before 10/12/2009).
Photoshop is fine. Just remember, less is more.
*Thanks to all those that PM'ed me for ideas. Hopefully this is a good compromise. :)

Feel free to give it a try. I'd be interested to see the results with the D3x's low light capabilities. Mine was a bit under exposed and the noise has come up a bit after fixing it. This shot had the nicest arc though.
Besides, I don't think it will matter. This topic seems to be a bit of a dud anyway.

I will have to use the D200 as my remote flash trigger hasn't turned up yet (don't you love back orders around Christmas:() So I can't remotely trigger both Speedlights off camera on the D3s until I get it.
Still at least my RRS L-bracket turned up today so I can tripod mount the camera on the ball head and rails at last.
Just had a thought.... might see what the D3s will do with multi-exposure bracketing and no flash.
Hopefully this thread will get a few more pic's by Sunday.

I'm surprised more people didn't want to show off their balls. Still, I reckon Bushie has the nicest pair :eek:

I was so stuffed after Saturday that I couldn't hold the camera steady that evening. Sunday just sailed past. Sorry I couldn't get motivated.

Don't feel bad guys. They can't all be blockbusters and it's a busy time of year. I should have just gone for the topic of 'Christmas'.

Well, we have to call this one a draw, so on the basis that Andrew held the ashes, the topic should default back to him for the 1st topic for 2010 to finish on 3rd Jan 2010
