The daughter of an acquaintance of mine had her Year 12 formal last night and wanted something different or should I say wanted to arrive in style, so Miss Piggy came to the rescue. Lined up with the stretch limos, the hotrods, Mustangs and Hearse was my 101 with six kids in the back arriving in style at the National Museum in Canberra.
Getting out was an issue for the young ladies and gave the guys a chance to assist the ladies to exist the back of the 101 in style - really was a chance for the guys to man handle the ladies by lifting them out.
Maybe I now need to go into the hire car business - the rev heads in the crowd loved the crackle of the 101 V8 - managed to sound as good as the rods with a few revs.
A downer was the police set up a vehicle inspection stop in the car park on the exit route only 75m from the drop off point - a bit weak I thought and not a good PR exercise.

I used my FFR for that once for my nebours daughter. I found a small steplader that could be folded up helped with the exit over the FFR tailgate!

We had one just in case - but it was not "cool" enough to use it - was easier for they guys to lift them down.

Good stuff. I bet the rest of the people looked like real sheep all arriving in limos.

Nah - they were too busy hassling a young guy in a Honda S2000 with the most magnificent paint work and interior I have ever seen - they were making the guy raise and lower his car on the air suspension - must have been OK as they let him go.
I don't think I would have had an issue as my 101 only got registered 5 months ago and there have been no mods since then - the only area they might not have liked is the winch pulleys and hook on the front bumper.
