ARB Non winch bar to Winch bar?

Long story short, is it possible to turn my ARB steel bar into a winch bar? i had a look at the d1 arb winch bar that i have today and it didnt seem too different...

short answer YES! run synthetic rope and its nice and neat without a roller fairlead and that extra bracket that ARB have

So if i just cut a hole in the front and mount it straight onto the rear of the inside of the bar? probably using some pieces of metal on each side to for the bolts to go through so its thicker?
