Hi everyone just a couple of questions,I have a 110 1995 Defender ,it has cracked the rubber seal on the end of the axle (axle flange ) someone suggested it may be a blocked breather ,so I pulled the banjo bolt and made sure it and the fitting are clear, the other end disappears into the dash area ,can I use compressed air on this line from the diff end or does it have some kind of fitting on the end which i could damage ,second my reversing lamp and buzzer are intermittent where is the switch located on the gearbox, only had her a week or so and don't have a service manual as yet ...........Thanks John

you can unbolt it from the diff and try to blow air up it that shouldnt hurt anything.

if its just the flange/axle cap that split thats one of those things that happens.

Thanks for that ,if it is just one of those things I will get a new cap and try it, I have checked the diff end and it seemed not to be blocked.Cheers John
