Gday All,
dont know much about the rangie only its the best looking 4x4 by along way..That said, im looking at a 02 model petrol for SWMBO and not having much to do wondered what people thought of them..
The car will be a daily driver and general cruise car keeping the disco for thre serious stuff..The one in question im looking at has 200k and wondering if this is far to much for a petrol or not..

Any comments good or bad would be great..

Thanks in advance, Cheers Ean

Ours is currently fine coming up for 160k, if it has good full service history, and is at the right price then I don't see why not.

Gearbox will be the biggest risk area to my mind, "sealed for life" so unless fluid changes have been done as an extra items through its life then it could be a risk at those k's.

There are tons around now with lower kms so shop about unless this one is really cheap.

Love ours though so would definately recommend one. Similar situation here, we've got the L322 v8 for general use and a D2 v8 for the proper rough stuff.

Cheers

The gearbox's give trouble through no servicing, the sealed for life thing is crap.If you do 50K flushing and fluid-filter changes they are fine but if you buy a V8 and give it some stick you must expect trouble eventually. Pat
