so, the D2 has a waste gate modulator.
and with the nanocom hooked up to my laptop and engine running/driving, the wastegate modulator percentage always shows 0.00%???
this has been the case on all of the TD5's ive flashed.

ideas?

cheers phil

We got a reading before the weekend on the wastegate modulator, I can't remember the reading, but I know it wasn't very high, Kerry might remember, I'll give her a call.

mine on the disco goes anything upto 60+% generally on light acceleration its around 16%

i suspect thats why the performance has tailed off a little... wastgate always seems to be opening... :(

dont have any graphs tho... nor time to look at it yet!

Thanks

Mine generally gets to around 35% max. What I have noticed is when accelerating the waste-gate opens and full boost (1.7 bar ? ) and than drops back to about 1.1-1.2 bar. Its a shame the waste-gate wont hold it at 1.7 bar.
I don't think the % is really what the waste-gate is doing, but is the signal that the modulator is sending to the actuator.
One day I mean to play around with a mechanical boost gauge and take readings before and after the inter-cooler.
