The water bottle is mounted in a bike bottle holder (bidon cage) with the overflow pipe through a hole in the lid. I don't know how long the bottle will last in the engine bay with the radiant heat but they are cheap to replace :)

And I second Ron's endorsement of the Series II CD, I've had mine a few weeks now and already it has been very useful.
