Dent removal on Disco bonnet

How good is the dent removal process on hail damage on an aluminium bonnet?

Its only minor hail damage, not football boots, buts its annoying. It is covered by insurance. Or do I find a second hand bonnet and repaint ?

If you have insurance, I'd simply be stepping back to let it be fixed and if not fixed properly ask for it to be done so!

However, were insurance not involved I'd be tracking down a second hand bonnet, or repairing myself and painting black.

Try ringing a couple of the paintless dent removal guys - see what they say.
I had a dent taken out of my roof by one of them - very good job.

They aren't heavy. Try lifting a Kingswood bonnet by yourself...

A couple of years ago I asked my insurance company about getting some minor hail damage fixed. Yep, no problem.

However, they said after it was fixed they would no longer insure the car. I didn't get it fixed through insurance.

I have a 2000 D2 and the doors and roof are steel, every other panel is alumimium/composite (front guards, bonnet, rear door, rear guards/side panels, rear tail light panels). I read somewhere that initially the doors were aluminium but were changed to steel, don't know when or how accurate that is.
Just use a small magnet like a fridge magnet and test the panels to see if it sticks to them.
