View Full Version : What would I pay for a Land Rover 90 diesel?

After reading through a few different threads and sections on here, it would seem that a Landy 90 is the car I'm looking for as my next off roader. (Rather than get a series and try modify it to suit) Unfortunately there seems to be none for sale in the 80's year range.

What would be the price range for some thing registered and in decent condition? And, am I missing some magical site where they are all listed for sale, or do they simply not come up for sale that often?

I have checked carsales, carpoint, drive, ebay and the market place on here, but came up with nothing so any input would be appreciated.

Cheers
Scott

They were only officially available between 2003 and 2005 (and now 2010 onwards) so all official ones will be TD5s and likely to be priced in the $25-35k dollar range.

Any earlier ones than that will be personal imports and there arent many.

The 90 didn't come out in the UK until 1984, and at that stage we only got the 110 in Australia.

We only ever got the 90 breifly during the reign of the Td5, but they were unpopular so there aren't many of them. Expect to pay a fair bit of coin for one of these.

The 90 is returning however, and they are due to release the current model (with Puma engine) back into the AU market imminently.

PS - all Australian 90s are Diesel. ;)

I would love to have a 90 but the fact is there very rare here in OZ.
Had thought of doing a cut and shut on a 110 chassis but then you have to some how get it engineered?
Another option I was looking at was getting new a 90 Chassis shipped over & use a 110 as parts.

That would explain it then. Someone had one listed in their sig, but I didn't realise they weren't readily available here.
That would also explain why years ago I can remember Mal Storey welding up coily chassis in his workshop. I guess if I want one I'm really going to have to hunt for it then :)

Talk to a bloke named anthony jonhson of british 4wd imports he brought a whole bunch of 90 chassis's and used 110/130 bits i think all up he made about 5 cars, mine was one he imported whole and converted to v8
i will never sell mine ever if someone offered crazy money for it it would so hard to replace
