can I ask how PSI won when he only had 1 vote and series3 had 2?

I didn't actually count them all but I had that feeling ... if this is an issue, I'd be happy to walk away.
dullbird
13th January 2010, 01:36 PM
not really an issue...just asking if there is a reason for it or whether it is just a mistake.
you have already put the next comp up which I think will be a good one, but if it is the case that series3 won then I will ad his name to the recognition list:)

Series3 had 2 1st votes but one for each photo, whereas PSI had a 1st and second vote for the same photo; could that be the reason?

maybe!! I used to score it differently I.e 2 photo's being submitted just gave you more of a chance of winning I.e didn't matter which one was voted for...it was just the name.
perhaps bushie does it different now. I'm not sure hopefully he can let us know

That's a bit unfair for people that only submit one photo (say I who have never contributed a photo!).
Surely people are voting for a particluar photo to win and not the person? :o
dullbird
13th January 2010, 02:51 PM
well its not like you dont have a choice to submit two,,,,,people that only submited one chose to only submit one
when people used to vote they only put names didn;t specify photo's so i guess that is where the difference is.

Yep your right N1G
voting is for the photo...not voting for the person that submitted the photo(s) Just went and read the rules
PSI is the rightful winner......sorry if I put a dampner on your win PSI, wasn't intentional. :)

That's how I counted them, the vote is for the photo, rather than the photographer. It just gets abit awkward when there are votes spread across the whole field, then I have to take into account second (or third) place votes, or as stated in the rules toss a coin (although it hasn't come to that yet).
Sorry it took a while to get back as I've been a bit busy the last couple of nights.
