Hi All and Happy New Year for tomorrow!:D

I'm in need of replacing two of my rims (either that or get 'em welded), and I started to wonder whether other brand 4wd rims (holden, ford, whatever), that are also 16x7 will fit.

I assume not but I thought I would post the question just in case since I can't get LR standard rims without paying a bundle.

Cheers in advance.

Pete'

Hi Andrew, how you been keeping?

I found one on ebay but he wont post D2 Landrover alloy wheel & Michelin XPC Tyre 235/70/16 - eBay Trim, Interior, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 05-Jan-10 14:43:08 AEDST) (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/D2-Landrover-alloy-wheel-Michelin-XPC-Tyre-235-70-16_W0QQitemZ330390620911QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_ Parts_Accessories?hash=item4cecd0caef)

I seem to recall Erich so I'll give him an email too since he's up my way.

Ptiy about holden not fitting, there's a set of 5 for only $125 on ebay!!:D:D

The problem with the BMW/Holden rims is that they might not be the right load rating for the D2 and whatever else you load into it. BMW X5 rims might be load rated, but the smallest size you can get them is 17 or 18 inch.

Frontier1,
The Landrover clearing sale see HOME - Landrover Parts still has six new steel rims for sale at $60.86 plus GSTeach. These are part no ANR 4636. I have a friend with a 1988 110 and the steel rims on his car are that part number. They should fit your car too. They fit my Puma.

Got my eye on these now too on ebay item no 320468335724

Wonder whether I need to make any mods for these to fit or whether they just slot on.

Cheers, Pete'

They are a series one disco rims. If yours is a Disco with a TD5 then you need series two disco rims. If you have a TD5 Defender then the rims should be ok for you as I don't believe that the defender strud pattern has changed.

Pete, where are you located, your profile doesn't say?

If you are in Sydney, PM Bundalene or Andrew E.

Hi Ron,

Just updated my location, thanks.

I did email him and he only had a set of 4 for $600 (no tyres). It's a bit more than I want to spend since I can get mine re-welded for $150.

Cheers, Pete'
