New Australian movie starring Paul Hogan and Shane Jacobsen.

Watched it last night - a good movie showing a bit of the Eastern part of Aus. Was looking forward to them tackling the Cape in a Kingswood, but they took the easy (??) way in the end.

A couple of the practical jokes in there reminded me of days gone by

Well worth watching - a pleasant change from a lot of the crap out there these days.

Geez we must have got a different copy. Other than a couple of small classic Hog's bits I went to the kitchen half way through to stick forks in my eyes. How can you say the first 50mins was good aussie movie making:(.
It was pretty lame acting on all sides unfortunatly.

Just light entertainment Justin.

It's sure not going to win any Oscars. We thought is was good because the wife, myself and the kids could all watch something Aussie made and safe and it didn't come out of a Disney animation studio.

Surely you got a chuckle out of the copper........

You're a worry Stevo :o

Hope you're not referring to the truckie lady as a GILF :wasntme:

After seeing a photo of you on here some time ago in some pretty unfashionable shorts (think they were leopardskin or something similarly grotesque) - I think she'd probably take a bit of a shine to you.

Can your Disco outrun a Kenworth ?????

Cactus, Midnight Spares, jeez even the tv shows: Sons and Daughters (boring but Australian), Young Ramsay (man I loved that show)

Any Australian movie's a good movie, except the really crap ones. But it's worth it just to hear people talking without an American accent. :D

Personally I loved Charlie and Boots, and will watch it many a time again in the future.

:eek:and also because its illegal.Quite happy to send you some to watch if you cover postage costs and return (if you rip me off I wont have lost much anyway) but you'd be better paying a visit to JB hi-fi or online at Sanity or such, you can probably buy most for $5-10.

I liked it, it told a good story with some laughs and a very sad moment.

Bit sad to see that Aussie movies don't get much appeal to more Aussies.

I liked it, my favourite was the butch lady truckdriver with the hots for Paul Hogan. Its a movie that won't win Oscars but it is not a "B" grader either. Similiar quality to another favorite of mine called " Worlds Fastest Indian" and yes I know it's a Kiwi movie not an Aussie one.:)

Gday All,
Thought it was a great movie, had it all, the best part was the motor bike cop, when they were getting towed...The towing scene was a crack-up..

like to see more Aussie movies like it..

Cheers Ean

the whole towing scene was a crack-up and when the car hit the bitumen and fishtailed it was some bit of driving/filming....:eek:

The lady whole sells him the strawberries just near the boarder and he sits there and eats them instead of the quarrentine bin was a classic...:D:D

The cops / towing scene was totally hilarious! I was literally on the floor in tears at that point! I think it's the Aussie humor that really appealed to me.

I used that cop / towing scene in a motivational seminar I did for a work do, and those that hadn't seen the movie loved it.
