Seen quite a few in my last two visits to Sydney. You can pick them in the car parks with that long tray sticking out 200mm past everything else:D
Yours auto or manual and what spec?

They are one of the ugliest cars on the road.

This is how they usually end up when they go off road - they need a Mitsu****ty Tritoo recovery vehicle to accompany them.

I already have the best looking and the most capable off road vehicles ever built.... The RRC and the 120":p

That's why mine has 32" tyres fitted. Still not much use for any severe off road though due to lack of long travel suspension and the huge rear over hang. But a lot better than a car;)
Seems to plow through this black mud here no worries.

Actually that is my brothers Tritoo - nothing like a bit of sibling rivalry:D.

It is the older 3.2 engine which is a gem with the factory upgrades to the ecu. It goes really well on the sand (just the goose driving was a worry) and generally does pretty well everywhere else as long as great ground clearance is not required. His front "heavy duty" bash plate did get damaged by the sand on this trip:o.

I am not sure why Mitsubishi changed to the new 2.5 litre engine but reports are it is good - would have to be extra good to be better than the old one.

They are still butt ugly though - not like my 101.:)

I'd volunteer a review but it'd start to sound like a porno.

Without getting into auto v manual debate, why the manual Tony?

Its a family tractor so has to be simple, most of our kays are highway, Lower running cost over time, better on fuel, 50MN more torque at 2000 RPM. The mitsu auto's have a bad habit of hunting gears when lugging at highway speed. Otherwise definitely a disadvantage in many other ways;)

Totally agree. I'm rather fond of my Defender, but am well aware of it's lack of visual appeal to the great unwashed.

Doesn't alter the fact that the Triton is ugly. :D Which is not only my considered opinion.;)

I'm really struggling with this. I encourage site diversity, but it's difficult for me to manage to care about a mitsubishi commercial! :o :)

Looking good. Are you going to fit any lights into the circular cutouts in the rear bumpers?

If you make your way down when I'm back home July/August it'll be the 120" tear down, chassis repairs, cab change etc

But I think showing some sights would be more appropriate:D

July is possible if this drought lets up. Be a bit icy in places though:eek: A mix of sight seeing and a few hours in the shed sounds good:)
