COOOOOOOOOOL:cool:
I've been eyeing off a set of those for a long time.
BTW, did you get the saw from Mannum in the end, or find one closer? Australia Post really stuffed things up down here over x-mas.

You've got a nice quiet place in the country.
You have plenty of sheds.
You have night vision goggles.
Silence of the Lambs, here we come.

Cool, I'd love a pair of night vision goggles! Just to side track a little though, what sort of recurve bow is it, i.e. brand name, etc? Just curious as I was a recurve archer myself for some 15 years (but I am now too lazy) :).

its not a branded bow I think...its just an entry level one.
looks just like this...we only have it for shooting targets in the back yard as we enjoy it I guess its one of those things if we really like it then we spend the dollars, to get the better gear:)

Looks a lot like an old Yamaha Recurve. I shot Target for years and won a number of titles. Clout was my favourite. I still have a 70" 42lb Hoyt.
Is this what you see around home?

Cool, I started with something similar and became addicted. Now I have $$$ worth of recurve bows, carbon arrows, sights, stablilisers, etc, sitting in the back shed collecting dust until my wife and I find the time to get back into it again. Let me know if you need any pointers or contacts in your area for club shoots.

if you wanna give muddymech some pointers you can start by telling how to line up the pins on the site?????

Hmmm, clout is one of those frustrating events that you are either good at or you are not. I have four Hoyts sitting in the shed if you want to get back into it! :) How long ago did you stop shooting?

One pin for one distance one for the other distance. When I used to shot it wasn't allowed in the rules to have multiple sight pins.

If you want to use sights, use them on a compound......recurves are much more fun barebow.......mine WAS a Hoyt Gamemaster....but now shoot a full bells and whistles compound....arrows is arrows though

compounds look cool I must admit...but where is the fun taking all the pull out the bow so your only holding 10%.......
nothing like holding back a string think **** I'm gunna have to let this bastard go in a minute and your swaying all over the shot trying to line the target and not shoot anyone in the near vicinity:lol2:

Stopped in mid 80's. Tried again in early 90's but I had a dodgy right shoulder by then (why aren't squash court walls made of rubber?) and I couldn't hold back the same draw I used to.
Clout was great. Now Flight was the one I could never get my head around.
Used to do all my own fletching and made my own strings. That way you could get it just right for the way you shot.
