I have nearly finished reading a terrific book, Robson's "Land Rover, Series One to Freelander". (I found it on Ebay) This book has really taken me into the world of Land Rover and has clarified some of those age old questions that I've either been too embarrased to ask or others have not been able to answer.

I now have an understanding of the S2 and 2A's that my Father drove for years and understand clearly how and why these vehicles taught me to drive in the way that they did.

I now also have a thorough understanding of the origins of my own Defender and how it is related to the many other variants of its era. I used to love the Land Rover Stable but now I'm sure I have Solihull blood in my veins!!

Does anyone else know of similar publications or even video productions that shed light on some of the lesser known segments of the evolution of Land Rover variants through the decades?
