I've been working at KNC at Kambalda and this week it was 43 on monday,44 on tuesday 47 on wednesday 46 yesterday and 45 today, wednesday was very hard work and I'm really glad it's friday. It will be 41 tomorrow so the trailer re-wire job I had planned has been axed and watching Pay TV has been booked in instead. For the record my TDI hasn't been bothered by the heat except when I pushed it to 120 and then it went to 100 degree's at the thermo housing. Did my time in those temps Pat, don't miss it:( I was the bunny that took the January February jobs up around The East Strelley and the Shaw rivers in the Pilbara stream sediment sampling because it paid well:angel:

Maybe my brain WAS affected by all those 50 degree days???

(PS, Wife just said 'at least it was getting cooler as the week ended...':D)

Pat don't worry about Pay TV tomorrow - you should book it in for tomorrow and Sunday.;)

Much as I (and I daresay all of AULRO) enjoy your posts, we are concerned the excessive heat of Kambalda is getting to you.

Really mate - pushing a TDI to 120?

The heat, the heat.

Pay TV tomorrow and Sunday.;)

Barra, you know my pet peeve is the ''overstressed'' little motor rubbish,TDI's overheat because the rads to small blah blah.I was chuffed to see the little monster can still cope with the heat and give a good account of itself but I will say they do need better ventilation through the engine bay to increase the airflow.I will miss it badly if I get a puma. So it sounds like I'm not missing out on much Pat.

Sounds a bit more like Pilbara weather than downtown Kalgoorlie. We've got a forecast top of 45 for tomorrow at Fortescue - is usually 3 or 4 degrees hotter here on site.

They gave me a new vehicle this morning - Toyota Hi-Ace bus for running around the Op's crew and vendor reps during commissioning - hope the air-con works well.
