hey guys i noticed oil on the back of the clutch pedal this arvo...i know this is common can't remember why but! ...any reasons for this bearing in mind that the clutch master, slave and clutch itself was changed out recently but bear in mind that a certain motoring organisation did the work sub standard and i am going to see them tomorrow so if there is a link now is a good time to find out regards Andy

Moisture on the clutch pedal is warning number one that your clutch master has carked it, I believe.

Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. It is a fair bet to say the cylinder has failed. Getting the clutch pedal level correct upon installation is critical in getting full life out of the cylinder.

I used to have this problem (did a few replacements myself) on my 110, was told by my mechanic to check if the clutch pedal was sitting about 1" lower then the brake pedal ? If not, the master can fail prematurely due to the pushrod not being aligned as best it can. Apparently the seal wears more on one face and doesn't last a long.

Has worked for me ever since.
