Hey everyone,

I just got back today from a trip my girlfriend and I did down to the "Big Hill" area, on the Macleay/Chandler rivers.

Had an awesome time though it was bloody hot.
Caught a couple of nice bass, cold beer, good company, beautiful surrounds.
Ive been down there quite a few times before and recommend it to anyone, really nice place.

It was my first trip since buying the Rover and I couldn't be happier. :)

All the tweaking paid off and it handled some solid tracks without hassle, was pretty good on fuel (I think, still counting down to see what km/l I actually get) and was just fun to drive.

Ive just got to build my racks now so I can take a canoe/kayak next time.

Anyway heres a few pics of the beast where its happiest...away from tar. ;)

Sounds amazing!

If you wanted to improve fuel economy though, I'd definitely get a less ostentatious hood ornament :p

G'day Ash,
Great pics, thanks for sharing. She did it without missing a beat?

Kayak racks are in my plans for mine too

Thanks mate.
Nope she didn't stumble at all. :)
It was about 290km round trip - 90% on pretty rough and steep tracks.

Yeah I hope to do my racks pretty soon.

I plan to make a hoop around the car, coming out just in front of the rear wheels and then two rails either side of the rear door which curve up and around to meet the hoop.
If that makes any sense..:D

The front bar will be a pretty simple builders "T" arrangement.
