Towbar installation recommendations?

I've had the odd half decent car before, but somehow I still get sticker shock on Range Rover prices. I asked Graeme Cooper how much it would be to get a towbar fitted to my 03 HSE 4.4, and phew! Almost $1000! I asked why and they said you need this wiring harness/cpu thing as well as an expensive tow hitch arrangement plus fitting to deal with the reverse parking sensors. I don't even have parking sensors.
Does everyone pay this kind of price?? Is there a cheaper alternative in Sydney?

Hi Kingfisher, that actually sounds like a fair deal.

It cost me about the same price to have it fitted to my 03 in 03.
