Tailgate!!??

Just driven back from Sydney to Melbourne, easy trip but can't open top tailgate!! Any ideas?

When pressing the electronic release can you hear anything...can you hear it trying to release/open? If not, perhaps no power getting through so check fuses.

i allmost guarantee it will be the top door actuator cable, about a 30min job to replace, and yes you can open it with out cutting the rear lower door trim,

if you press the button to open it and there is the same actuator noise but wont open, it will be the cable broken, preity comen on the d3, and most likely the d4:wasntme:

After getting advice from "countrywide" on the D3 forum have got the tailgate open by pressing lock and unlock (in car) and having wife press the tailgate lock. All seems fine now but will have a look at microswitch as countrywide suggest that there maybe water in there.. Another little Landrover mystery solved I hope!!
