All, anyone recommend cheaper than LR seat covers that suit D3 and air bag compatible?
Also, anyone have a drawer system fitted WITH a cargo barrier?
I have the OL boab (six box) system and wanted to know if anyone had managed to fit a cargo barrier with this system?
Ironically, having reviewed the on line fitting instructions for the genuine (UK) LR D3 cargo barrier, it will fit perfectly (given design of the legs that attach to the tie down points enabling the drawer system to still fit) - but LR Oz wont supply it as its not ADR compliant; sigh.

The milford cargo barrier attaches the same way. Have you looked at it?

Black Widow do a draw system and cargo barrier...not sure whether it will fit with other draw systems.
Try Takla.com.au in WA for seat covers. They have the slots for the airbags though the put a disclaimer on them in case the airbags don't work properly.

BlackPerth, we ended up getting seat covers custom made by this mob:
Caboolture Seat Covers (http://www.cabooltureseatcoverfactory.com.au/)
For around 3 weeks' wait and $500 -600 we had covers made for the 2 front seats and the 3 middle seats. We left the back seats alone as they will be used less regularly.
We are very happy with them - they don't look like seat covers, they fit so tightly. And yes, the guys made them especially to cope with the airbags.
Unfortunately we are in QLD and you in WA, but if you can't find someone that makes them over there, perhaps you can order them and get them sent to you.

Thanks All - I'll have a look at Milford - did look ages ago and thought that the way it attaches to the factory floor mounts it interferes (fouls) with drawer system, but will check again.
Thanks re seat covers - will check them out!

How did you go with the seat covers ? I looked at the sheepskin, but don't think much of the appearance, and I figure they will wear pretty average with mud on them. ( be a bugger to clean too ) Currently looking at a cover made by Ruffnuts. They have different cloth available, and D3/D4 with a cutout for the side airbag. Not as good as a full cover, but they state they will not make a 'tear stitch' type for the side airbags, ( liability issues ) hence the cutout. $400.00 a pair incl postage. Not sure how that compares, but I believe it is way cheaper than the sheepskin.

Am looking at getting some Melvyl and Moon seat covers for mine from South Africa. I have had them before back in SA, and want a set for the Disco. They are without a doubt the BEST seat covers I have ever had. Air bag compatible, with no disclaimer. I will PM you the details if you are ineterested. They work out under $500 for the 1st and 2nd row seats, but the postage for one set almost doubles the price, which is why I haven't yet ordered mine..... looking for more interested parties to split the postage cost which would obvioulsy come down with the more sets that they deliver..... let me know if you would like more details......

Hi,
If you havn't already bought any, I got seat covers for front and rear seats from these guys below.
Cost $390 delivered and fit nicely. Airbag compatible.
I'm pretty happy with them.
I made my own drawers for my old Jackaroo and they fitted in the D3 as well - heaps better than buying them if you have the time and tools. The whole thing is removable - drawers, boxes and the casing. It only takes a few minutes to install and remove.
The photos are the boxes in my old Jackaroo - I havn't taken any in the D3 yet. I like the idea of being able to remove them after a trip.
I everything is strapped down well, I don't think a Milford barrier is necessary, and I can still use the 2nd row of seats.
all the best,

I got a set of sheepskin saet covers, front seats only, airbag compatible, made by Mortels (near Newcastle NSW) for $495. They needed my car to make them, but may now have the pattern.

Here are some specs on the covers. It has to be said the pics don't do them justice. There is a website on page 2 of the pdf.
I am in the process of getting a detailed price list (with discounts for multiple orders) and shipping costs (although for this I need a total number). I will advise in due course

Hi
There is a place called 'Best of Off Road' in Victoria - they can pretty much make drawers to your specs.
Hope this helps

Had a look ..thanks. They are much like the 'Black Duck' canvas seat covers. I had Black Duck in my Patrol. Very durable, and they protect well but not the best cloth to sit on. My other half has already cast a 'no ' vote against more canvas covers.

Do you mind if I ask why you feel they are not the best to sit on? I found exactly the opposite with my last set of these..........

What's the point of having leather seats, if you are going to cover them?
Sorry, I just had to ask :)
I know, protection... last longer... kids... pets... etc but you would never get to enjoy them.

Resale value blah blah...... :D
The thing is, I actually find the leather uncomfortable expecially in summer..... the canvas looks as nice, if not better, and breathes nicely too..... all boils down to personal preference I guess.......

They are 'hard' to touch by comparison to other cloth, and as they wear, they loose whatever little 'pile' they have, and get an even harder feel. When they do require a wash, they don't come up very well. As I said, some of this comes from my other half, but I actually agree. I would sit on just about anything but plastic.........but happy wife happy life!!
I should advise that I went for the cloth seats in my D4. I don't like leather for outback use. Apart from the potential damage that can be done to them, covers or not, that would be a waste as Guss has said.

I found the leather in my D3 great. It did get dirty after a while and needed cleaning, but it was always very comfortable to sit on. And mud is really easy to wash off the leather.
