Mmmmm, works as a 'link' but not as an 'image'!
Any ideas?

In the post screen there's a little picture of a mountain. When you hover it says "Insert image". Click it past url, done. It should show in the preview screen.

WT...?
I can't get it to work.
I assume you are getting the url from the "link" tab on Photoshop below the photo?
inside
15th January 2010, 12:56 PM
This is the url you need http://api.photoshop.com/home_099f2777aa444233b78e476f0aafdd21/adobe-px-thumbnails/1b7ed21a85ae4643bee166cd82cce966/fullsize.jpg
It needs to be the actual image not the page that shows the image. So must end in .jpg usually.

I use Safari on a Mac so for me it's right click on the pic then "copy image address". Other browsers should have the same, right click > properties or similar.

Nup! Must be a Mac thing. I use Firefox, no go and I tried Safari, no go either.
The only url info I get is when I click on the 'link' tag at the bottom of the photo. The image 'url' info doesn't work and the 'embed' info just lists the image as a hyperlink, as per my previous posts.
Thanks anyway inside. Maybe some PC guru will come to the party.

In Firefox right click on the image and choose "view image", should be the first option. It'll bring up another window with just the image, then copy the url from the address bar.

Nah. Doesn't work. Maybe it's because I'm logged-in to my account. I only get three options and the are really basic. Info. about the flash player, settings for the for the flash player and a print option. No file info. at all.
More investigation required. You would think the 'url' info. given in the 'link' tab would be sufficient. Maybe it needs to be trimmed/added to. Here it is.

Quotes are mine!
Without the quotes you get this.

I'll compare in wordpad.

Weird! I'll logout of adobe and try again.
Edit:
If I logout and follow my own link I get all of the 'View image' options mentioned earlier. This sucks!
Help Mr. Adobe!!!!!!

Nah! It was taken with my iPhone 3GS and manipulated on-phone by a pseudo tilt-shift app.
Pretty cool huh?

Yeah. I am trying to get Photoshop.com working. I can upload, view etc. etc. but, as per this thread, the image url for posting on here is giving me grief. In the process of setting-up mobile photobucket to give it a try.
Tilt Shift Generator is $1.19 in the App. Store. Here's their website. Good fun!

I run a Photoshop.com account to edit things when I've only got internet access (like enhancing poor quality shots of equipment at work). I'll have a play and see what I can do.

I have worked out how to edit Photoshop urls so I'll stick with that. Messy though! Should bloody work with copy and paste, no editing!

HAd a play on the iPod touch and on the Mac. Don't think it can be done. This is very similar to the problem I had with Nikon myPicturetown. The whole site works around plugins and doesn't actually make the image path visible.

Looks like it's Photobucket mobile for me!

Ridiculous isn't it! All this palava about sharing and you can't do it without a degree in Java!
Photobucket seems to work O.K. so I'll stick with them for a while. Thanks for your help!
