FL2 service interval change

Hello
is it true that the service interval for 2010 fl2 has changed to 12 months 24k kms? Nothing major has been done to the engine and it has been suggested that a different oil is being used. Overseas it has always been 24/12

The Australian service intervals have not changed judging by the information I have.
They're still at 6mth/12000km intervals.

The intermediate service is just a basic oil change though, something most other markets don't do.
