Firstly let me say that I am not a climate change sceptic and I do believe we need to be taking steps to reduce our emissions from all sources.

However when I got into work this morning I saw that a colleagues car had a big white sticker on the back on the paintwork that said in big black letters "I AM PROUDLY SCREWING THE CLIMATE"

Intrigued by this I went up closer and read the small print on the sticker which says place this sticker on the bumper of an urban SUV - Climate Action Collective (or somethinge similar). Clearly a bunch of moron vandals is going around slapping these on the back of any SUV they see.

I don't know whether to be angry at the vandalism of peoples property, frustrated that these people are by these stupid actions in fact alienating people who may actually be sympathetic (my immediate reaction is to trade in my diesel for a V8 petrol just to stick it up their noses) Or amused by the that fact that these idiots have stuck it on the back of a 2litre 4 cylinder diesel VW Tiguan, which will get way better fuel economy than the 200 falcodores these idiots would have walked past to slap this sticker on a Tiguan.

Grow up you morons

All I can say is that the day I catch someone placing one of these on my vehicle will be the day I find out I have a court date :p

yes it would be extremely tempting to contribute to global warming by throwing them on a bonfire with a can of petrol.

If you can catch them in the act and prove it was them (photos, witnesses, etc) you should be able to get them charged with "interfering with a motor vehicle" or similar offences. The same goes for people that put fliers, etc under your windscreen wipers.

I wasn't aware of that law. There are also the graffiti laws:

NSW law...

Under section 195 of the Crimes Act 1900 a person who maliciously destroys or damages property belonging to another is liable to a maximum penalty of imprisonment for 5 years, and section 200 allows for imprisonment of three years for being in possession of a non-explosive article, with an intent to deface or damage premises or property.

WHAT IS GRAFFITI
VANDALISM?
The term ‘Graffiti’ generally refers to
illegally defacing private and public
property with markings and/or graphics
without the owners consent. Graffiti
vandalism can take multiple forms
including designs, words or images
using chalk, paint, scratching, textas, acid
etching or other material such as stickers
and billposters.
GRAFFITI VANDALISM
IS A CRIME
In NSW, all graffiti on public or private
property, unless the property owner has
given permission, is a crime punishable by
imprisonment, community service orders
or fines of up to $2,200.

I posted this ages ago on outerlimits after a couple of idiots stickered lots of 4x4s at Tufftruck with "you suck" stickers.

Because he assaulted you and broke a couple of bones in your hand. :D:D:D

It's not like the climate change lobby are covering themselves in glory at the moment....

There was a bunch of these vandals doing this around Wellington. I think they ended up in court.

Perhaps someone should put one of those stickers on Al Gore's private jet
