Muck in-between G/box & T/B

G’day all,
I pulled the transfer box off yesterday and I’m wondering if someone can tell me if this muck in-between the gear box and transfer box is normal? does the chanel drain any thing?

Any info much appreciated

When either of the two seals fail you see oil at that point. Run a bead of silicone around the outer edge on reinstallation.
