I was driving to geraldton this morning as whyatts (landrover mechanic) are going to be doing some work on my 99' defender 110 to get ready for CSR and I lost my speedo, temp guage, fuel guage, AC, indicators and also the km's travelled stopped.

My hazards worked fine but not indicators. AC gone completely and all my guages completely lifeless... although the analogue clock on the dash still works.

I checked all the fuses under the dash & under the driver's seat and they look fine. I took the dashboard hub out and nothing obvious. I disconnected the batteries and still have this problem. The car starts & drives fine except for these problems

Whyatts in geraldton are going to be looking at it on wednesday anyway but i thought i would ask here as well. IF anyone has any ideas let me know as I have only owned this car for 4 weeks and it's my 1st defender so I don't know a whole lot about them.

cheers.

Check the fuses again (they may look OK so check for continuity) especially the indicator fuse, I had a short (300Tdi) at the indicator stalk that blew the fuse, gauges (fuel temp), indicators, stopped working so sounds very similar - except for the speedo etc (non electrical in the 300Tdi).

the multi plug or the earth connection to the dash may have come loose.

Turns out you were so close.. corroded terminals in the back of the fuse box. no blown fuses and everything looked ok until they took the fuse box out.

cheers.
