Hi People
Im currently downloading $100 worth of music from BigSwamp thanks to gift vouchers included with my mobile phone.
When I burn them onto CDs,will normal CD players recognise MP3 music???
If not, which format do I burn onto the Cds???
Thanks

Hi landyAndy;

To Burn MP3 format onto a CD and play back on a Standard CD player , you Must Convert them to Audio Files.Use a Program such a 'Nero burning Rom', and Drag all your Files in and it Automatically converts your MP3 Files to CD format.

Nero has a "Make Audio CD" function built into it.

Which Burning software do you use?

Without getting technical you need to burn them as tracks on a Music CD. Most CD burning software has this option.

Most modern (in the last few years) players will usually handle MP3 files. IIn which case you just burn the files to CD as you would any other computer data. Though it is a good idea to name them in a meaningful way and to separate albums into individual directories.

Thanks Guys
At the moment the only Burning software on this laptop is the Toshiba DVD programme(never used it) and the Windows Vista Music Programme which I have used to copy/burn CDs to play in my grader, all worked fine.
It does ask what sort of recording to make so I will look into it.

Google "MP3 CD doctor" , i use it to convert mp3 to CDA- quicker and easier than Nero.

Free Studio Manager.

DVDVideoSoft.com: Download free DVD, iPod, YouTube video converter and editor software and freeware (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/index.htm)

I haven't used it for CD's yet (I use Ulead Burn.now) but it works perfectly for DVDs.

Step 1 - Copy Mp3 files into My Music (Vista/7 goto My computer And navigate to C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Music\, Windows XP C:\Documents and settings\%USERNAME%\My Documents\My Music\. Obviously %USERNAME% is your user name (If In Doubt, Click on start Menu (its on the top)
Step 2 - Start Windows Media Player (WMP) (Start Menu (Vista/7 Type it in Fully and press enter) Windows XP start menu, All Programs > And it should be somewhere there.
Step 3 - Once the files Are Recognized in WMP Click on the "Burn" in the top then drag the Music onto the right hand column
Step 4 - Put blank CD into Drive
Step 5 - Click Burn (Bottom of burn column)

Note This Does not Work With WMP 9 (only for 10,11 and maybe 12)
