Does anyone know where fuel filters for a puma can be gotten.Priced one at the LR dealers and nearly choked when they told me the price.Around $150. I thought it was a tad pricey. They also said that Land Rover parts are sourced though Caterpillar.I presumed that is the big machinary mob.
I enquired at a filter supplier in Wollongong and he tried his contacts but no filter was listed for the newer Defender and even cross referencing the part number, nothing showed up.

Get another price, they aren't that expensive! Ring around a few other dealers or LR parts specialists because even with postage you'll save money.
LR parts are (or were) sourced from the same warehouse complex in Tullamarine, Vic that also handles Caterpillar, Volvo and a few others. I'm not to sure if they are still all combined. Used to be a standing joke in our house as my wife deals with CAT parts daily.
As yet I haven't seen an after market one, but then the vehicles are only just starting to come out of warranty.

Last one I had replaced in Darwin wasn't $150. I think it was some where around $130.
They are about £30 in the UK + postage for a genuine. I'm thinking a bulk buy could go a long way here. That's about AU$60 and they aren't that heavy so it would cost much for a carton of them.
