It's great to see spirited and useful posts from some of the newer members, but there's quite a lot of you lurkers out there who have yet to post and we'd like to hear from you.

You don't need to be a technical expert, or even have a question, just say hello and tell us a bit about your D3 like DS did here:

http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-zone/96690-why-i-love-my-d3-why-i-drive-landy.html

or something similar, as long as there's a tenuous link to the vehicle in at least the first post.

How many new members can we tempt out into the open?

Perhaps we can all just hit the thanks button to prove our presence

Anyway still looking for my D3. Have my eye on a black one across the other side of the country (WA).

How many D3's were delivered with the E-locker and is the presence of this option being overlooked or missed completely by car yards?

I have noticed though that many questions are being repeated, particularily I'm about to by XXX what should I look for. Search works well and if you cant use it, you will learn a lot by reading the 29 pages of posts here. :)

Hi Trobbo,
Its hard to tell how many were delivered with the rear E-diff as only the sales guys & ordereing personal would know (& the end user)
Some yards have missed this function on the vehicle (I know i have also been looking)as they simply dont know if its there, there is no way of telling unless you place the vehicle on a hoist or know what to look for under the vehicle.
To tell if it has the rear E-diff you will need to place the vehicle in off road height & slide under the vehicl(or put it on a 4 post hoist)e & look at the rear diff, it will have a silver foiled wiring loom coming off the top of the diff housing & you will notice a solenoid plunger atop the diff housing also. You cannot rely on the SatNav as this will show both diff locks whether the vehicle has 1 or 2.

& Yes search engine is "good":D

I can see my diff lock motor sitting on top of the diff by looking in over the top of the right wheel at standard height. Its not so obvious from the left side.
