Gear Box Problems in DC3

Have an '05 D3. Is anyone aware of vibrations in gearbox? Also had to get a new alternator at 130,000ks???:mad:

Dad and a mate of his have just had their boxes replaced, Dad's is an 05 S and Darryl's from memory is an 06 SE.

Both are used for towing and the vibration is slippage between the clutch plates. Give the old fella a call on 0429 030941 for more info. His name is George and he is wandering around Tassie at the moment

I had to replace my alternator at around a similar km. The original one is an early build and not as good as the one that replaces it.

Search for transmission flushes. The vibration or shuddering is a well known issue. A flush and pan/filter change usually fixes it. Some have had the torque converter replaced.
