Crap weekend for riding a bike.
Rain, rain and yet more rain. Race was put on hold overnight due to it being too dangerous to ride. I was one of the last to go out before they called it and it was scary in sections and I'm pretty good with the technical stuff. lost my brakes halfway round that lap which made it worse.
venue was great for a bike race, i'll take the bit of a road ride to get to the trails for the extra comfort and amenities that are offered by being in a caravan park. I doubt my wife and kids will come to another MTB event if rain is forecast as they were stuck under the annex of the van for basically 2 days. we were supposed to stay until today but came home early as the rain did not look like letting up.
