I am about to do a SLS to coil conversion in the rear of my D2 and i was just looking around for a perch kit on the net and came across this site Discovery Automotive. Home of Discovery Special Vehicles - Land Rover Modifications (http://www.discoveryauto.com.au/dsvdisco2.php) (have to select coil conversions in the little bar thing) and read through that and then read one of the last lines "This conversion can not be done to Discovery’s fitted with ACE"...
My disco has ACE.... and now i'm a tad bit worried, i don't see how ACE could be effected by coils in the rear?
Please tell me they are wrong?

Perhaps ACE runs different software/ different bars for coils?
My dad's has coils and ACE, but it's original.
Sorry I couldn't help.

Yep. Nanocom can switch the system from SLS/Airbags to Coils.

please sell me the old SLS bits when you are finished converting. i am looking at mounting an SLS system on my caravan :) . just need some donor bits. condition doesnt matter too much as i really need the bits first (airbags and sensors, and compressor) to see if fitting is practical. will try and make it so i can raise left and right seperately instead of using stupid platics ramps and blocks of wood for levelling left to right.
stupid me threw out a pair of used airbags a couple of months ago, thinking i would never need them. although they both had holes so werent any good anyhow.
p.s. i have a nanocom if you need to reset the suspension to coils, i can do that for you.

Agreed, but you have to do it in 2 places, the BCU (body control unit) and the Wabco SLABS Ecu as well.
Also disconnect the height sensors or she will continue to "bong" at you.

I am thinking that i may be keeping it all and the compressor in it just so i can still have the option to switch back if i ever have to somewhere down the line... sorry about that mate.
You can come and do the nanocom though if you wanna drive to Toowoomba to do it :D:p i don't think id be able to drive it to far without it being nanocommed?
Thanks for the replies also guys, very very helpful!
I shal keep you posted on the change over.
Another quick question in relation to it... Does anyone know where i can get the perches for the springs for cheap??
