Well upgrade disk arrived today so it's currently running through the Aperture 2 library and upgrading it.

Looks to be quiet an improvement but will have to wait a while to see ... it's a big library to update! So I'll have to get back to this thread later.

Looks good, much more aligned with iPhoto 09 interface. Lots of upload options and a few interesting quirks. Have to have a good play on the weekend.

It's busy doing it's face recognition thing now which will take some time. Then I can start naming people.

The Places and Faces are bother very similar to iPhoto 09, may have to look at an on camera GPS one day. Oooo new toy, DB's got something I haven't:angel:

How's that hard drive space (http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/02/aperture-3-swallowing-hard-drives-whole-with-crazy-memory-leak/) going? As per usual no comment from Apple.

Apple lost me with their non communicative attitude towards upcoming Aperture updates long ago. Lightroom FTW.

No problems to date. As for Lightroom and Adobe in general ... are they really any better? OK they release beta's but then you still wait for ever for the next release. Look how long PS CS5 is taking and the last Lightroom was the same.

I'm in two minds about Aperture and Lightroom. I chose Aperture but nearly didn't.

Adobe is far from perfect but what they have on the market right now works well and for me I use their stuff everyday InDesign, Acrobat, Bridge etc.

Apple seem to be going down a path that has me cautious in general. They make some good stuff both hardware and software but.... I digress.
