Me again!!! (sorry!!)
Well I have one on the way to me https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2010/02/764.jpg, so I could just wait, but I thought I would ask again in "ARB central" lol........
The bumper comes with the orange indicators in the front, does it come with any wiring as well, or do you have to "hook" them up your self ?
Have you all done this ?
I was "thinking" it would maybe be an option to replace the lense with a clear lense and make them "side lights" instead of indicators ? but not seeing them in the flesh just wondered has anybody else thought this ? or do we all keep them as indicators ?
I can only assume they are included because the bull bar blocks a "proportion" of the factory indicators ?
Your thoughts please.....
Cheers

I'm afraid we don't get any choice in the matter of indicators in the bar.....they are required by law here and must be fitted and utilised to counter the issue of original fittings blockage from parts of the bar. This applies in Western Australia anyway and AFAIK in the rest of the country also. (one of the farcical issues here is that there are some variations in the laws depending on which state/territory you live in, it's like living in 8 different countries:mad:).
I believe you can go with the clear lense here but only if you have the right coloured globe so when it's flashing it's uniform with other vehicles.
I don't know what laws apply in the UK in this regard.
Cheers

They arn't too hard to hook up anyway, all you have to do is find the indicator wires behind your driving lights and wire them into that, won't take you long.

You also may want to use LEDs as the extra load of an incandesent globe will make the system think you have a trailer and the "trailer-lights-are-working" light on the dash will flash.

Thats an interesting point, does everyone suffer that problem then ?
What bulbs are in those lights ? might get some LED ones now so I have them ready.

They come fully wired with a short loom for left nd right indicators and scotch connectors to splice in to the Disco's left and right indicator looms.
You just join them on to the wires to the existing indicators, nice and simple. If you then replace the bulbs in the bar with 5W or LED ones this will prevent the trailer indicator from flashing due to excess current draw.
The indicators are an Australian Design Rule (ADR) requirement for all states and Territories here. If you don't need them there then you might be able to make some blanking plates to replace them.
