4wd'ers need to get organized like this I reckon. Talk about creating a lot of "public feedback".

http://www.colongwilderness.org.au/ (http://www.colongwilderness.org.au/)

The site is full of letters adressed to the appropriate people saying the right things, just copy/paste/print/sign without even knowing the facts about what your asking to be done.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........................ ......

Better watchout, a letter might appear to the fascist Minister Conroy pushing for the ban of internet forums that encourage outdoor activities!!

Maybe if we were all heroin users we'd be given areas to use............:spudnikboil:

I'm for conservation, but some extremist groups need to get back to using rock and pebbles to wipe their bums before they get up and start preaching. After all every time they wipe themselves another tree dies, the atmosphere get polluted as well as the water ways.

I'm with INWC. There is no reason why you can't be into 4x4 and conservation. There are extremists on both sides but most are in the middle.

The charter of the national park is something that has been debated for a very long time, and it will continue.

One thing is for sure though; when people - regardless of their mode of transport - trash a park, it will be closed for everyone. if we, as offroad enthusiasts look after our parks, show them and the rangers respect we will not have any problems.

Many of my favorite tracks have been closed due to idiots in four wheel drives ruining roads and leaving rubbish everywhere. I don't get angry at NPS for this, I get angry at the morons who did the damage.

So next trip you do, make a point of respecting what it is you came there to see. Take any rubbish you see out with you. You could even contact a local conservation group to see if they are monitoring any weeds that you could look out for in your travels. You will find very fast things can be improved.

I like to live by the motto, "keep it green, BUT LET ME IN!!".

I am constantly astounded by the morons that are out there, and have seen lots. A locked gate does not mean much to theses idiots.

I always take mine, and others rubbish with me when I leave;thanks for the advice, anyway.

What I am saying, is we need to get organised, to prevent being constantly locked out of places we like to go. I am not against conservation, just the way it is being currently done.

I am against ill informed "extreme greens" who never venture into the bush, but just get a warm glow from being told it's there and no-one can touch it.(whilst massive beautiful areas get totally annihalted for mining!)

The current attitude of "let's work together so we look like good blokes and they might stop hating 4wd's" JUST ISN'T WORKING!!

If people can't experience what's there, they can never develop a passion for it.

KEEP IT GREEN BUT LET ME IN YOU BASTARDS!!

Check out DECC | Plans of management (http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/parkmanagement/ParkManagementPlans.htm)

to see where you next won't be allowed to go anymore..................

I am a conservationist, but also like 4wdriving, dirt bikes etc and there is a place for all.
As said it is the idiots, especially with fires and rubbish. Maybe we could extend the hoon legislation to this and have 4x4s, campers and camping gear confiscated for 28 days for those who blatentlly offend.:o
Time and time again we arrive at sites to spend the first hr cleaning up after morons.
The problem once agin is not that the majority are anti 4x4, but it is a minority with too big a voice. Same as everything lately, does not matter if the majority agree the minority still have more of a say and create undue hysteria.

Interestingly enough, one of the things that I like about the defender is that it tends not to attract the moron crowd like some other marques do.. I find this quite attractive about them.
