This is madness!!! Never stop raining for the last 48 hrs, lucky that we are in sandy ground.
On Sunday the seven we have 8” of rain in 3 hrs!! Darwin weather! :o
The plants are collapsing because the amount of water in the foliage, the green frogs are playing the didgeridoo inside the gutter down pipes, the water is going to waste down to the sea and I have saw bum seating at the PC. :(
I think that I go back to Hobart! :(
Cheers

Interesting to read these threads.A lot of people came to Queensland when we were in drought and that lasted for around 10 years. Now that it has broken our usual weather has returned .That's it friends either enjoy it or ???.I just hope it's here to stay. Now we might get our winters back again..now that's another story.
Cheers,
John.

John, I come to Childers, Qld more that 10 years ago and on the farm I was very happy with the rain, but here on the beach is not much good for no one.
We have heaps more rain than in Bundy that it is only 24 km south/west
look at the images from the radar and the rain is along the coast from here to Emu Park!

We have had less since the start of last November. :o
Why didn't the government spend $42 billion on a bloody big pipe instead of handing out so we could all spend it on wide screen TV's.

Ahh, but instead it is taking sediments and nutrients with it to "fertilise" some fish and crabs...
